Anaerobic Threshold

What is the anaerobic threshold?

The trainer in my Spinervals DVD mentions working just above your anaerobic threshold. I looked it up today to verify that where I thought I wanted to be was right, and in fact I was spot on. I'd need an exercise lab and some fairly specific test equipment to know the EXACT numbers, but basically I've been making a point of exercising over 135 beats per minute, and 136 is 75%, which is the average anaerobic threshold. When I push myself hard I try to get over 155, which is 85% of my max heart rate, and I always try to hit the 170 range at some point during a hard workout. 172 is 95%, and if I get over that point I start to feel sick.
